Having grown up and lived there for the last 28 years, Its great to finally see 'positive' news stories appearing about Ballymun.

The is a certain unique spirit about the people in Ballymun, who are always proud to state it is their home and to move toward making the area a better place - I believe Ballymun will continue to improve and attract more and more positive press as the years go by.

My website demostrates this (http://www.newballymun.com) - one of its visitors was inspired to write a book on the area and is now a published author!

Tiny Burton

Nice article… but you forgot to mention Tiny Burton, who also once lived there. Born in 1968 at 38 Sillogue Road till 1980!

Greetings all you munners!

I lived in 224 Ballymun road between 1991 and 1992 as I was an Erasmus student at DCU.
It was one of the best years in my life, I met people from many different countries and cultures and I never felt in danger while I was there. Dubliners are great !!

Hi there just came across this page while browsing. I`m coming to my 40th birthday married with 3 children and have lived here in ballymun since the place opened. My parents were the 1st tenant`s in our new flat. All we ever hear about Ballymun in the news is bad news never the good things!!All the regeneration going on up-dating our schools(who would have thought we`d have a school in the mun called "Trinity"!)local aminities ie: shopping centre, health centre, civic centre etc...the list is endless to the changes that have happened in the last decade.I`m now a tenant in my flat just 21 yrs next June!!My own family have been reared in Ballymun, gone through the school`s(1 in collage now)and haveused the parks youth clubs as I have used them before them and would hope future generations will avail of the same. Many more happy years to come to Ballymun.....
